Description: This workshop will introduce participants to an alternative, interactive, animated approach to the instruction of many basic mathematics and introductory algebra concepts. This workshop is a follow-up to, and expansion of, last year's Animation of Mathematics workshop. The Animation of Mathematics attempts to address the unique cognitive composition of all students as outlined by Dr. Howard Gardner in his Theory of Multiple Intelligences. The stories, games, and animations contained in The Animation of Mathematics are specifically designed to address the unique educational needs of students who learn best through their visual-spatial, verbal-linguistic, bodily-kinesthetic, and interpersonal intelligences, in an attempt to stimulate and improve their logical-mathematical intelligence.
